Finally our new Ti-Rex frameset has been transformed into a complete bike. You start with a Titanium frameset which includes frame, fork, and steering gear (Headset, Flip-It stem, Riser and Handle Bar) for $1650 retail, then add a RANS Z-Seat w/narrow CF pan.
To complete the build I added:
- Velocity Thracian 20/26 non-disc wheelset
- Schwalbe Kojak Tires 20×1.35 and 26×1.35 w/lightweight Schwalbe tubes
- Shimano M760 XT 11/34 9spd cassette
- FSA Gossamer Mega-Exo triple crank. (over 100 grams lighter than Ultegra)
- Avid SD7.0 linear pull brakes
- Avid Speed-Dial SL brake levers
- SRAM X.0 Gripshifters
- SRAM X.9 rear derailleur
- Shimano R773 10spd flat-bar front derailleur
- KMC X9SL chain (slotted link plates + hollow pins) and it’s gold?
I took the new Ti-Rex out for a brief ride around the business park and immediately remembered why I was attached to the prototype at this past year’s InterBike Out-Door demo..
