Gold Country Cyclery was founded and is still operated by cycling enthusiasts, Rick and Ann Steele. The Steele's started the area's first tandem club, "Gold Country Tandem Club" before opening the shop and were amazed at the number of enthusiasts in the Sacramento, California area who could benefit from expert service and advice. Seeing the potential, a bike shop was born!

Gold Country is one of the top tandem dealers in the country, but they're also extremely knowledgeable regarding recumbents and upright road & touring bikes. Rick is considered the area's top expert and premier mechanic in these specialties.

We encourage test rides and our location in quiet Shingle Springs is ideal for this purpose. Because we spend so much time making sure each customer chooses their ideal bike, we ask that you make an appointment for your test ride.
