Description: This ride was introduced to us a few years ago by fellow bike rider Bob Smart, and it has quickly become one of the favorite mountain bike rides for our group. It starts about 3 miles past Sly Park (or Jenkinson Lake) on Iron Mountain Road (also know as Mormon Emigrant Trail). Start at the Information Station which is on the right hand side at the bottom of the hill. Parking is free at this location, and starting here gets you past the busy traffic around the lake. Traffic on this ride is generally light, though do be careful on the descent on Bonetti Road (Road 51). You will definitely have the urge to go fast (it's a wonderful downhill), but there are several blind corners that bear caution to avoid any surprises with oncoming traffic.
